New mares for sale and also for those of you who like Kolkuós breeding line I have mare that is totally on her father side pure Kolkuós !! She is in foal with young and promising stallion with cool color so those of you that is interesting contact us for further informations !It is the highest % to get buckskin (20.8 % ) offspring and than next highest is palomino ( 16.7 % ). Today we went to Litli-Garður that isnt far away from our farm and looked at 2 horses that are for sale. Fregn from Árgerði after 1. price parents, born 2000 BLUP 107, everyone can ride her and she fits perfectly for breeding as well. The other horse is a 8 year old gelding after Orri from Þúfu and 4 gaited mare with 8.3 for tolt and 8.5 for trot and bauty under a rider. He is a very good riding horse or can fit for competitions ? I also took these pictures just now when María (11 ) came home from a riding tour on my mare Hátíð from Hóli ( 7.95 after Markús ).

Yesterday we finally had so nice weather and oppertunity to take pictures of few of the horses that was missing pictures under their catagory and also we took new pictures and chipped 6 foals from Hraukbæ and let them outside again, they are all after Randver. I also updated the catagory " foals for sale after Randver " on our page and have updates some of the pictures and soon I will manage to update the rest, I hope ? The horses that I updated and added new pictures at are Hátið, Skrúfa, Þota, Freisting, Maríkó and Bjarki. All the mares are under " young mares " and Bjarki you find under " reið/ keppnishestar " on our page. Today this morning we took the horses home that are  in the fence in the mountain and we had to take 4 mares that are leaving to their new home and to a stallions as well. Than we also took Harpa home again ( she has bin resting for some time now outside ) and finally my gelding Glæsir ( under reið / keppnishestar ) is home and will soon be shoed and start ridden. The mares that are leaving are Hvellhetta and Gullbrá that Rikke in Denmark owns and than Stilla is going to Glampi soon, owner Line in Denmark, and than Kjamma is going to Moli new owner Mille in Denmark. Than we have found out that my mare Mánadís is not in foal as she should have bin after Moli so she will probably go there soon as well ? Jörp is also not in foal, but that we new and we are still thinking to witch stallion we will bring her, we cant wait and it is to big of a risk to wait until Hófur will be here after Landsmót. These pictures I got just now from Marit in Norway, but she is the new owner of Blær from Akureyri. She told me that she is very, very happy with him and that she probably will be for a very long time. Congratulations Marit with Blær and good luck to you

We bought two new mares and they came home today. One is a judged mare after Markús from Langholtspartur with total 7.95 and the other mare is bautfiul mare after Glampi from Vatnsleysa and 1. price mare Rós from Hellulandi. Her mother has 9 for neck and sholders and Glíma, that is her name, has also very good neck and sholders. Of course my husband could not resist trying her when she got home and lets just say he wasnt disappointed. Her gallop is amazing and she trots very well with very good movements but she dosnet tolt just yet. I took pictures of Glíma but I will take pictures of Hátíð ( Markúsardaughter ) later ( I have to cleen her up ). Than Móður and Bláskjár are both sold.

HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE

When the girls woke up this morning they wanted to surch for their Easter eggs, but we hadnt hidden them so they had to wait for a while. María wanted us to give her some qustions and clues on a peace of papers and find her egg that way, but she wasnt really happy about it after all. I took pictures of them before and after finding the eggs.

Yesterday Aubbi, María and Hilde took all the horses, including Randver, for a run and they ended up riding very far away from home and they didnt come back until 6 clock in the evening. There is this guy from Akureyri, Tobbi, and always one or more friends of his riding with him and this year it was his friend Stebbi, travelling with him. He/they ride every year at Easter with all their horses to a farm further in the valley than ours called Halldórsstaðir and it is ca. 50 km away from Akureyri and he/they rides it in 4 days back and forward. So Aubbi and the girls rode with them few km. or ca. 28km ( both ways )

Than last night we went to " Stjörnutölt " 2008 in the Skating hall at Akureyri and there where many good horses and riders as well. This was also the first time in Stjörnutölt history that the same person wins two years in a row and on a different horse as well, but her father ended up in the fifth place on the mare that wone last year. The winner was Þórdís Erla Gunnarsdóttir that is very well known and her family that breeds horses at Auðsholtshjáleiga. Stjörnutölt also has a special meaning to me becaus the first horse that one this tölt few years ago was a horse from my ( Ester ) breeding .

On monday we went to pick up 17 foals at Hraukbæ where Auðbjörns parents live and 15 are after Randver of those foals. Few of them are for sale and soon we will add some new pictures and maybe even a video of them ? This is  a very good investment to buy now and buy foals after Randver. Look at the video and pictures of Randver under stallions, and ask us for more details and prices in your currency to see how good the prices are ? We also can have foals or horses that are sold through us for an upbringing or further stay.

Now is a very good oppertunity to buy a horse from us because the Icelandic krona is so weak so the raite is in your favorite now !! Same good prices on many of our horses so grab the chance when you get it !

Today I finally had the time and oppertunity to record María ( 11 years old ) riding Móður, so take a look at the video of him those of you that are looking for a family/good riding horse !? I also took pictures of María on Frigg and Anna Kristín rode the 5 year old mare Gylling for the first time and Anna will also be 5 years old in October. It was very funny to see her riding her up on the pile of shit. Than our cousin Egill from Reykjavík is visiting us and he isnt used to horses and was rather scared on going up, but than it was ok. and he was riding Drottning for a little bit. Here are some pictures of them and Hilde was helping them with the horses as well. I also used the oppertunity to take few pictures of Auðbjörn riding Askur today and they are up under his colomn. I have also added new video of Randver taken on Svínavatn plus video and pictures of Leirutjörn the day after Svínavatn.
