Last night and before I woke up at 5.40, Sparta had given birth and he was already starting to try to run and play at that time. His name is Hreimur and he is blue dun pinto with 4 socks and a star. Very calm and friendly and he is FOR SALE.

Last Autumn we sold our buckskin stallion Askur from Víðidal to Anne Rosendal in Denmark www.egemose.net  and he was shown in a breeding show this spring and has got total score 7.91. Askur is very equal horse for riding and combination and has 8 for all in combination exept one 7.5 for back and for riding he has 8 for all exept 7.5 for pas and trot and than 8.5 for walk. They will use him this summer and show him again next year. Here are pictures that Anna send me.

And last spring we sold the silver dapple mare Stilla from Hafnafjörður to Line Jeppesen http://www.123hjemmeside.dk/Nordhus/1069844 and she went pregnant to Denmark with the stallion Glampi from Vatnsleysa and just recantly she gave birth to this beautiful stallion foal and Line send me these pictures.

As always we will sell some of the newborn foals and this time we have decided of those who are born to sell Spaði, Marra and mabey even Kostning !?

Now we are back home and that is nice. We drove of on Friday morning not as early as we hoped for, but we had to take full trailer with us and make a stop at the bank at Akureyri before the trip started. Þota we drow to Galsi from Sauðárkrókur in Skagafjörður and Rauðhetta went to Mídas from Kaldbak all teh way to Ármót, but I could not take Hátíð with us to Hruni because she wasnt ready for a stallion. On Saturday we went to Auðbjörns daugter gratuation party and I took few pictures there. Before we went on Friday morning I also took pictures of my new stallion foal Dalmar and he is now under foals 2009 as Kleina.

Now we are in Reykjavík and I just wanted to tell you that Stilling gave birth to a beautiful stallion foal this morning fully brother to our Dalur with the same color. I will add pictures on Sunday evening that I took this morning.

I staid up last night knowing that Jörp was going to give birth and at 01.00 last night a red big mare foal came into this world named Kleina. This is the first foal we actually breed from Jörp because she was pregnant when we bought her and she came without being pregnant from Moli twice, so we are very happy to have got mare but of course the wish colour was bay pinto. I also thought that Stilling would give birth last night because she already has milk in her breast and mabey even Sparta but I have to wait a little longer. Stilling foal is the last one we are having from Randver, but my mother in-law will have many and already she has one red pinto mare foal. We are going to Reykjavík probably on Friday and today María class mates are coming to ride a little and than we will barbeque for them and they will spend the night in our trailer so fun day for them and they are really lucky with the weather it is very, very good.

On Saturday María and her school mate Eydís went to Akureyri togehter to compete in tölt and 4 gait and on Sunday they rode in the finals. María rode Glæsir in 4 gaite and Þota in tölt and Eydís rode her horse Gáski ( Hrafn ) from Hraukbæ in both. María came in first place both in tölt and 4 gait and Eydís rode herself up from last place up to second in 4 gait but was in 4th place in tölt. Good result for both of them. María and Þota tölt 6,00 and ,María and Glæsir 5,27

My favorite mare Dúdda that I had bin waiting to give birth just had to do it in the middle of the day when I was not home ! She had beuatiful palomino stallion foal with a star and I gave it to María. He is quite good looking after Askur. We where at a breeding show all day and we will leave early in the morning again. I will tell you all about it later and put out some pictures, but few pics of the new foal now.

Finally on this sunny day a new foal is born. Really nice black pinto marefoal with lot of spots on her white colour and big star and a snip and even small dot  in the star. The owner is my son Jón Björn and she is after Randver and Kristín. I dont know the name yet and my son dont know about her yet so...we both thought it would be black pinto stallion foal, so he is very lucky. I think Dúdda will either give birth tonight or next evening/night ? We are soon driving off with the five mares that are going to the breeding show. Here are pictures of this cute, calm and colorful foal.

The weather here has not bin vey good, snow, windy and cold but they are exspecting it to get better day by day starting from tomorrow. The next mares/foals are keeing us waiting, but we are exspecting from Dúdda, Jörp, Kristín and Stilling any day now. Next week we are taking 5 mares to a breeding show at Dalvík. All of them are than going to meet stallions this spring/summer, but we will probably show them again this spring first. These are the mares and the stallions they are meeting and than all of our other mares, who they are going to.
