New mare has arrived and you can look her up under " young mares " and her name is Maríkó. Good pedigree and exiting mare. Stígandi has gone to their new owners in Reykjavík and we wish them all the best of luck with him. On Saturday we will go to Mette Manseth to see our stallion that we own 1/6part in, Hófur from Varmalæk. He got 1. price last spring only 4 years old and he is 4 gaited as well and the plan is to rais his judgement and hopefully he will go on Landsmót and than we will use him for some of our mares !? We havent yet decided witch ones exept Reising and Hæra and than we will have to wait and see after breeding shows in the spring how some of the other mares will turn out ?

Today we went to Akureyri to compet ( Auðbjörn ) in tolt on Þota and in 100m pas on Randver and than he was also introduced in a stallion show as was Edgar. Þota was not as good as yesterday but now she got 6.5 for tolt. Randver got the time 9.9sek the 100 meters. I took pictures of him when he was showed in the stallion show but video in pas and than video of Þota in tolt.

Now we are home again and we are happy with the result from the competition. Randver was entering in his first competition and he was in A-class and got total 8.24. Þota was in tolt and she got total 6 so we can be pleased with the result. Notice that Þota is only shoed  like for breeding show,  8mm shoes and  120 gr. boots. Here are few pictures of them and I will add some more later.

I also got few pictures by email from Ida Berger in Norway of her horse Polki from Sólheimum that she bought from us. Polki is brother to Parker that is father of Randver, Sveifla, Freisting, Hespa, Glaður and Bratti ( he is for sale ) and than Polki is father of Perla and Skundi ( he is for sale and looks really a lot like his father on trot ).

Yesterday I took my small digital camera with me when we where feeding the horses outside. Because their has bin snow and than this sudden warm weather the mares and the foals got these small  ( and big ) ice balls on their hoofhairs " hófskeggið " I took few pictures of that and I actually took small vidoe as well but the sound didnt hear so well but it was like they where carrying bells. Than today we are going to Blönduós and Auðbjörn is going to compet on the ice at Svínavatn. He will compet on Randver in A-class and Þota in tolt. He has not bin competing for like 20 years or so. We are not exspecting much but this is fun to do and good practise for both rider and the horses.

Today the weather is blowing hard, like so many times before this winter However we took the horses home that are up in the mountain fence and we had to take 2 mares, Sletta and Prinsessa away because they are supposed to be pregnant before they will leave the country and head up to Sweden. So there are many good days yet to come for Randver I for fun took video of the horses when they where coming home and Hilde was on Selur in the front and Auðbjörn on Skrúfa behind. Than I also took finally some pictures and video of the sale horses, Bratti and Sjöfn and those two are very interesting and promising young horses. I also took video of Saga ( under young horses ) that is sister to Sjöfn.

I have new breeding mare for sale with very good pedigree and in foal ( pregnant ) after 1. price stallion. In her pedigree there are Otur ( her father ) and Náttfari and others well known horses. Well it didnt go very well for Hilde and Askur at Mývatn, but she hasnt got much exsperiance in competitions and was nervus as well so...better luck next time Aubbi and Randver did quite good though and many people came up to him asking where he will be next summer, Randver that is. But I must say that both Aubbi and Hilde are very bad in recording so the video are not so good Here are pictures and video.

Aubbi and Hilde are at Mývatn open today. Aubbi is going to show Randver in a stallion presentation, and Hilde is competing on Askur in tolt. They took the video camera with them so lets hope I can add some pictures or video this evening or tomorrow ? These pictures are taken in January of Aubbi on Randver and Hilde on Askur.

Now at the time 23.43 ( on my computer ) at the 27th of February 2008 there has bin 99990 visiting on our webpage, and we are talking about  less than a year as well, so I guess tomorrow when I will check my page it will be over 100000 visitings  Thank you all for visiting our webpage
