No wonder we havent put anything new on our page until now ! We have bin up to our head in work and it will go on and on. The pictures I took late in June of Stjörnuhófur , Happadís, Vafi and the stallion Valur are out on my page now. We will do some sonar test here on Sunday and mares are coming a lot to our Dalur and now there are 14 mares with him  and we have already  sonar tested few from him so far and put them up in the mountain. Hopefully we can take 4-5 mares away from him on Sunday. Hófur is coming tomorrow night and mares are coming. Here are few pictures taken in June.

Last foal at Hólakot is born and it is a bay mare after Gæfa and Markús from Langholtspartur so 9 mare foals and 13 stallion foals, not so bad. Pictures will come tomorrow because I havent even seen Viðbót ( that will be her name ).

Last days and next days have and will be very busy.  I have bin sitting her now to put in pictures that I took days ago and add out new sale horses and still is not finished. You should check out 2 new sale horses, mares, both ready to breed with stallions ! Names are Kátína and Sylvía. Than I added out pictures of Jór , Vandi , Snögg , Dalbjörk , Lína, Hástígur , Tvímáni , Óríon , Pardus , EyrúnGlæða , Nútíð, Tígull, Gefjun , Undrun , Norðurslóð ,  Blóma , Fjóla and Von .

Yesterday was a very busy day here at farm Hólakot. We took home the group from the mountain field and seperated them, some mares going to stallions, few foals needed to be  chipped before going to the mountain with there mothers and so on. Than we also drove two trailers of mares that where going to Glymur from Innri-Skeljarbrekku and also to Asi from Lundum. But also yesterday was one of 2-3 photo day we have for and taking pictures of all the horses that other people own here but still we have NOT taken pictures of Spotti, Ofsi, Fengur, Sif, Fregn, Hreyfing, Náttdís+ foal but guess how many pictures we did take yesterday??????? WE TOOK 373 PICTURES AND THAT IS A LOT EVEN THOUGH THE HORSES ARE MANY !!!!! However I want you owners to appriciate the work we are doing by doing this since it also takes us a long time to do this. YOU CAN MAIL US AND ASK FOR PICTURE OF YOUR HORSE, WE ARE THOUGH GOING NOW TO PICK UP MARES SO MAYBE WE WILL NOT MAIL BACK UNTIL TOMORROW !!? I also used the time to take few pictures of our own horses and here are few favorite PICTURES.

Last night my dear Sveifla gave birth and oh my god what a beauty ! I have named her Sæludís and I am so happy that I dont mind if Gæfa gives us stallion foal since Sveifla gave us this mare. Gæfa is last one to give birth. We had the vet here yesterday and he was sonar testing few mares and the outcome was 100%. Than Rut is also close to " heating " time so we drove her to Tristan from Árgerði and they where not quite ready to mate but we will take her again tomorrw and hope that will bring us luck. Rut will stay home all summer with the twins.

Today I took few new pictures of the twins Arður and Auðlind and there mother Rut . The twins are doing very fine and are with there mother in one of teh fields we where planning on taking hay from so they are enjoying themselfes there. Soon the horses are going up to the mountain and mares are also going to stallions arround same time. Jór is son of Jódís and it simple means " horse ". Good pedigree and good look and for sale. Check him out !

Jódís gave birth 2-3 minutes after midnight with help from Auðbjörn after she had bin trying very hard to push it out and was quite tired. And yet again we got stallion foal and I really hope that my two mares that are the only one left will give birth to mare foals. New pictures will come tomorrow when he is dry and clean and Jódís has rested but these I took straight after the birth.

Now the pictures are up of Þrándur and if you are looking for something special in the future, you should check him out and notice, he is not even 24 hours old when these pictures are taken. I also took pictures of Auðbjörn precious Náma and Demantur.

Þota had her foal at 01.10 last night. And of course she came not only with a stallion foal, but also one colored bay. Later today I take pictures of him and show you. Now there are only 3 mares left and not long time until they are giving borth. Few mares will be sonar tested next week so the wheel of circle keeps on turning. This is what the name Þrándur means but I had wished on a bay pinto mare and the name was supposed to be Þrá ( desire ) so I just changed into Þrándur instead.
