Í gær átti Anna Kristín 6 ára afmæli. Hún bauð bekkjarsystrum sínum í veislu frá 15.00-17.00 og síðan frá ca. 18.30-? komu fjölskyldan og vinir. Við þökkum ykkur öllum fyrir komuna og gjafirnar.

Yesterday we throw Anna Kristín a birthday party, both with her class mates and friends and family. From 15.00-17.00 her class mates from school came and than arround 18.30-? friends and family came for dinner and cakes after. It was a good day and we want to thank you all for coming and the presents.

Yesterday we went to Melgerðismelar to take home 50 horses that we owned there witch Auðbjörn and few others gathered from Sölvadalur on Friday. Auðbjörn, Anna Kristín, Auður Karen, María Björk, Unni, Annika and Marie rode home with the horses and it went all well. I did forget my camera so I didnt take any pictures. This morning Auðbjörn and María went up again and this time in our mountain to take the rest home. Vænting is now going home to Sweden pregnant with Hófur and she has bin with us since she was a foal and now she is 3 years old. Rós will be sonar tested to see if she is pregnant with Markús and her foal Meistari is sick so we will have to take him for a check at the same time tomorrow. We took few pictures of some of our sale foals and other horses for sale. We are very happy with our foals and they are friendly with good gaits and mowements. One of the next days we will take all of the horses home again and sort them out and give them medicene for worms and take more pictures. The horses we took pictures of are Heljarþröm, Nabbi and Maríkó and they are all for sale and than of some foals for sale like, Kalsi, Lísa, Nútíð, Spaði, Hrókur and Hreimur. Than I also took one and one of few of our pregnant mares. Here you can see the group coming home from the mountain and Auður ready to take them to the field and she borrowed Stormur from her sister Anna.

First snow came last night and this is how it looks today.

And this morning Auðbjörn and few other guys went to Sölvadalur ( other side of the mountain ) to gather up the horses that will be sorted out tomorrow at 13.00 clock at Melgerðismelar. It was snowing and dark to look around but now it is bright as you can see from the pictures I took few minutes ago. We will drive our riding horses down to Melgerðismelar either tonight or tomorrow morning to be able to ride home with our horses. There are only 50 horses that are supposed to come at Melgerðismelar because few of them are in the mountain here back home so I just hope they will all turn up, but they can get lost over there. Than there are busy days ahead to sort them into different places here at home and we will also have to take the horses from our mountain to sort them out as well. Than we will have to bring Rós for a sonar check and that will be our last mare checked for pregnancy. Our friend Unni from Norway is coming today and she will ride with us tomorrow so we will be quite a few, Auðbjörn, María Björk, Anna Kristín, Auður Karen, Annika, Marie, Unni, Jón Björn and I. I am charging the battery now for my camera so I hope I will take some pictures tomorrow but if I don’t, I will tell you on my page when I have already taken pictures of your horses.

Today we took Hríma to the vet for a full vet check and everything was and is ok. so she is sold. Yesterday we picked up our 2 year old stallion Gandur, but he was serving mares all summer. He has grown a lot this summer and is looking good. At the same time we drove both Glóð and Glampi to Akureyri because they are both sold and are going to other countrys.

We have decided to sell some of our young horses for a very good price now, and that includes stay here trhough this year 2009 and you can either take it home than or pay for longer stay, your choice !? All of the youngsters are chipped, halter trained and used to have their hooves cut + medicene for worms 2-3 times a year. ALL THE PRICES ARE IN EUROS!!!
