On Saturday evening we invided our friends Einar, Hugga and their daughters Guðbjörg and Þórhildur to dinner and our friends at farm Bringa as well, Sverrir, Jóna, and their 3 sons Reynir, Andrés and Valdimar. They had to leave sooner than exspected because they the 1. price stallion Fjarki from Breiðholt was coming to them and serve mares for the summer. But arround 23,30 the girls María, Anna, Auður, Guðbjörg and Þórhildur went to a riding trip and had a great time. I took these pictures before they left. From right : María and Dögun, Auður and Seimur, Anna and Stormur, Guðbjörg and Oddur and Þórhildur and Sókrates. We took two mares to Fjarki on Sunday and both will be sold pregnant and they are Hespa and Heljarþröm.

Than on Monday Auðbjörn dad, Kristinn, was 80 years old so we celebarted a bit by going the whole family out for dinner at www.engimyri.is and that was lovely time. Here are few pictures taken from that evening.

Yesterday morning Sæla had a foal by her side. Her name is Nútíð IS2009264007 from Hólakot and colour dun and she is for sale.

I finally took some pictures of Auður on her new horse coming home from a riding tour with her father.

And finally here comes pictures of Sjöfn new stallion foal that is for sale, Klettur.

And yesterday we took 5 of the mares for a " yfirlit " over look on their judgement and some raised a bit and others not. Even though Rut has onlu 7.88 for combination and is 4 gaited she is so close to 1. price so we are thinking of after she has bin with the stallion Auður from Lundum, we wil take her to a late breeding show in August try to get her into 1. price. The mares are all going to a stallion now and Rut, Jódís, Vala and Rós ( Rut mother ) are all going to meet Auður and than Sveifla and Perla are going to Adam from Ásmundarstaðir. Gusa will stay in training as will Ugla.

Now Sjöfn has given birth to bay stallion foal and his name and nr. is Klettur IS2009164013, pictures coming up later.

Vala, Sveifla and Ugla shown today and they got: Vala total score 7.73. Sveifla total score 7.77 and Ugla only for combination 7.78.What we knew with Vala is that she would never get high for combination but her riding is ok. and has 8 for tölt, gallop, slow tölt and beauty under rider and 8.5 for trot and 6,0 for pace and on Friday we will aim on raising tölt and pace. Sveifla still has only 8 for tölt and beuaty under rider but now she finally got what she diserves for trot or 9,0 and has 8,5 for both gallop and willingness. We are happy with the result and hopefully they will improve on Friday !? Pictures coming up later.

and than on Sunday morning we found out that our mother rabbit had given birth to 9 cups and we had to tar down an old house and dig down to find them all and they where pretty wild and now they are all caged with mum and dad.

Today after Auðbjörn, María and Hanne had taken the horses on " rekstur " we went to Akureyri to shop. Hanne has bin talking about it how nice it would to see one of our mares give birth and when we where in town it happened in the middle of the day arround 16.00 that Birta gave birth to a beautiful mare foal probably palomino pinto with star and almost an blaze so she missed it, but, soon after we came home, Reising was so kind to give birth arround 19.00 for us and exspecially Hanne to see. The foals are healthy and looking good and have already bin given the names Lísa and Hrókur. I think also Duna can give birth mabey this evening or tonight but I cant be sure of it. Notice that both of these foals are for sale and the color on Lísa is not very common !

Now we have Hanne visiting us from Norway riding and looking at our horses. We have now many young geldings for sale after the castration day and María took few pictures that day. Still we are waiting for the other half of our mares to give birth and next on the list are Duna, Reising, Sæla, Birta and Toppa. We keep them close to home.

But Nói is still a stallion......if anyone should want him ?

Next week we will take 7 mares to a breeding show. Ugla will only be judged for combination, Sveifla and Rut only for riding abillity and than Gusa, Jódís, Vala and Perla will get full judgement.

This morning the young stallions will be castrated so we dont have anyone for sale after that.....but if you are interested in anyone of them.....mail us NOW !!!!??? DALUR WILL NOT BE CASTRATED AND IS NOT FOR SALE, HE IS SERVING MARES AND GANDUR WILL NOT BE CASTRATED EITHER AND IS GOING TO SERVE 10-15 MARES THIS SUMMER BUT HE MIGHT BE FOR SALE !?
