Hólakot.net - hrossarækt tamningar og sala

On Monday 7th of July we gathered most of the mares thta where coming to meet with Hófur from Varmalæk and on Tuesday he came and here are pictures I took of him than.

And yesterday we drowe arround 300km ( both way ) to pick up Króna. I took picture of her standing in the field with the riding horses at Mýri in Bárðardal when we came and than again when she was in our stable licking the salt/vitamin stone.

Before we left I had to take picture of the kitten and where he always wants to place himself when he comes into the house, or in Auðbjörn slippers.

Than also yesterday we picked up this 2 year old stallion down at Akureyri, our friend took him for us in Skagafjörður, Einar Víðir and met us there, and his name is Aðmíráll from Syðra-Garðshorn and his father is Hróður from Refsstað and his mother is Kleópatra from Nýjabæ ( witch we once owned ) and his sister was the highest judged mare in Iceland in the 5 years old group at landsmót with total score 8.50, Píla from Syðra-Garðshorn after Adam from Ásmundarstaðir. Owners are Ingólfur and Mette. We are going to use him on few young mares now but many mares next spring/summer. Pictures coming up later.

Today Anna Kristín ( 4 years old ) and Auður Karen ( 3 years old  ) rode Oddur and Sókrates and enjoyed it very much and here are pictures of that.

And last but not least, Fia Bergman from Finland came and is going to work for us for few months, welcome Fia. Picture coming up.

Than we took the horses for " rekstur " today and it all went well and they are now, Aubbi, Hilde and Fia riding the horses and training.
