Dagfari is at Hólakot

Dagfari is here now and has started to serve his mares ! He is very calm and polite and absolutely beautiful. We ask those of you who have order space for your mares to contact us. We offer many mares for sale that can be covered with Dagfari, who would not like to have a Dagfari foal next year !

New foal and mares for sale

Last night Reising gave birth to a blue dun mare foal ( will end up grey/white ) and we have added out new mares for sale, Undrun and Gnótt. Than Glíma will be sold pregnant with Dagfari that is coming tonight.

Milla and Safír

Now I have added out the two black foals which has gotten the names Milla and Safír. Owner and breeder is Sigurbjörg, Auðbjörn oldest daughter.

Another black foal born

Last Night Hæra gave birth to a big black stallion foal and the father is Kapall from Komma. Pictures of Safír and Milla,( Undrun mare foal ) has to wait. Than our dear sweat Skundi is sold and we miss him already !

New horse and photos..

Now I have added out the ” fat ” new gelding here at Hólakot and will be for sale when he is ready with further training. His name is Stjarni and he is from Stóra-Vatnsskarð. I also added out photos of both Aría and Hróðný.

We are lucky here at Hólakot in the terrible weather that is going over Iceland now. It is rather cold but no snow here even though it is all around us.

New foal

New foal is born at Hólakot, black mare after Undrun and Dalur, his last foal to be born here in Iceland. She was born just few minutes before midnight. Photos coming up later. Than we have sold Páfi. The buyer is the owner of Póker, Páfi half brother. Hanna congratulations on your new horse, Páfi. Hanna has bin teaching Póker some tricks and she send us this photo, and the other one I borrow from her FB.

The weather..

Can you believe this ? It is unreal to get weather like this at this time of the year, or maybe not !? We do live in Iceland don’t we ! Taken few minutes ago these photos. Anna Kristín 8 year old took the last photo.

All these horses have good shelters from houses and nature.

Siesta

We can call these photos ” siesta ” or the calm before the storm. Tomorrow we will get SNOWSTORM and freezing the whole next week ! Any way these photos should warm us up taken after lunch while they were napping.

Bikar is born

Bikar is born. What a beautiful color. This is what Sletta can give you if you buy her and put her to either Alexander or Dagfari and most likely with more ” splashy ” color since they both have blue eyes. I saw when he was born today and took these photos.

Now I have added out finally the two new mares that Auður Karen and Anna Kristín bought. Auður Karen bought Hróðný, she is 5 year old mare after Hróður from Refsstað and Anna Kristín bought 6 year old mare after Aron from Strandarhöfði, named Aría. Both good and promising mares.

Alexander from Lundum

Alexander is here now serving mares so contact us if you want to bring mare to him. Alexander is black with blaze and sock and blue eye. He is turning 3 years old with BLUP 115. His father is Kvistur from Skagaströnd 8.58 and the mother is Auðna from Höfða 7.85 and she is the mother of well known stallions Arður, Auður, Alur and Asi for example.

We have started to cover few young mares with Alexander that are for sale. The mares are Fjóla, Helbrá and Frigg.

Sprettur sold

Today we sold the family horse Sprettur and he is going to a great family here in Iceland. He will stay with us until early June and than go to his new home.

I took also video of the young and promising stallion Hástígur today and he is for sale ! His father is Dalur from Hólakot ( fully brother to Dalmar ) that is now in Germany and our Markúsdaughter, Hátíð from Hóll.

New foal

Last night Toppa gave birth to a mare foal and the father is Friðrik X. Owner and breeder is Auður Karen so she got the first mare foal from Friðrik X. Auður Karen named her Prinsessa.Auðbjörn is now on his way home and he will bring Alexander with him so those of you that have mares ready, can contact us. Saga got new owners and we are pretty sure Skundi will have new ones soon as well.
