Jódís and Skíma are both again under the saddle. Jódís has two foals and Skíma one. Both mares we are aiming on showing in a breeding show this spring and both are for sale.

I took few new photos of Valur coming home from “rekstur ” all tired and recently back in training since last spring !! He is looking good. Click on his name to see more photos.
And we are going to Reykjavík today and Auður Karen goes with us but María Björk, Jón Björn and Anna Kristín will take care of things while we are away. It is my sister’s 45 year old birthday today so we are going to celebrate with her and our family. She does not look to be at this age and she is a grandma few years back.
Not so long ago many horses left our farm on there way to their new home in Switzerland. Our friends Ariane and Tobias bought few for themselves and they send us these photos.
At Saturday there was a foal show held by Náttfari which is a breeding club here in Eyjafjörður. We took 5 foals and our stallion Dalmar. The mare foals were Auðdís and Bára and the stallion foals were Hrappur, Hroði and Sigur. Auðdís came in 4rth place and Dalmar in third place. I would have liked to seen more from the guys but it does not always come when requested. Andrés Sverrison from Bringa ( breeding farm of Kraftur from Bringa ) took many photos from this show and he was so kind to loan me his photos so I have few here that he took.
How can we not be other than very happy with our breeding with a stallion like Snarpur in our stable now ? This video I took few days ago when the stallions where going for a run. We where always a little bit worried about his trot in his upbringing ( mostly he did was tölt ) but now in his training he is just great ! Snarpur is after our mare Snilld from Hraukbæ ( where Auðbjörn lived once and his parents live now ) and the mother side on her is breed far back by Auðbjörn and father of Snilld is Otur from Sauðárkrókur. Father of Snarpur is our e-x stallion Randver from Sólheimar 8.09 which we owned and used for quite some time and Snarpur is not the only offspring we believe in. Now I finally got my computer back so I hope we can start putting out some news again. Things are busy here at Hólakot with 33 horses on shoes at the stable and few foals as well inside, so feeding and cleaning is quite a lot. We are active in letting the horses run so the they are coming into quite good shape many of them already but others are more recent inside and need more time. As you know we sold our Dalur to Germany last Fall and the new owner send us these photos of him and they are very happy with him as well.

Nabbi should ofcourse be a mare because Sæla has only given us mares so far until he came ! Nabbi is very curius and notshy at all. He has this awsome movements already and showes all gaites. Big and knows how to be lift up by his front legs as these pictures show. He can be either 4 or 5 gaited as his father is only 4 gaiter and his mother is 5 gaiter. Will fit for competitions in the future !

My normal computar is out of order and I won’t get it back until next week, it can be an delay with answering emails and than also news here on our page with new photos also. Three mare came inside today and last week Spurning also came in wich I have not told you about. The mares that came in today were Djörfung, Gína and Hrifning.
Now we have sold Grikkur from Hólakot and he will leave next month to Germany, we wish new happy owners great success with him. The riding are going well and we are happy with the horses inside and new ones are coming and we are starting them, such as Meiriháttar, París, Skíma and Vaka. Exiting times ahead.
